Decorating A Baby’s Nursery
If you are about to welcome a new bundle of joy into your family, preparing the nursery comes with the package. The preparation is a big deal for sure. Who doesn’t get excited with the thought of having a baby at home? More so with the first baby! This article will guide you in prepping up that perfect room for your little one.
The bedroom’s focal point is the bed. In a nursery’s case, the centerpiece is the crib. Choose a crib that is not only made of sturdy and safe materials but one that tickles your fancy. If you like a particular design or color, go for it. Same goes with the other furnishings such as a rocking chair or an oversized chair. Take your time in scouting for the items that look good in your eyes. The more you’re inclined to the nursery’s furnishings, then the lesser you will fret about the lack of warmth, appeal and the like.

From your choice of color, choosing the furniture becomes delimited to design and size. When you have a color in mind, looking at all the selections in the department store becomes less confusing as you only have to choose from the designs of your chosen color or a similar shade. Getting only one crib and rocking chair won’t have to be a week-long trip to the mall. Similarly, getting the crib covered in fabrics also becomes easier. The designs and patterns may be plenty, but with a color scheme to guide you, picking one or two is not such a humongous task.
Decorating the walls is a great way to spice up the nursery. We normally see a bare baby’s room save for a chair, a small chest and the crib. Of course, babies don’t really care much for adornments just yet, but decorating the nursery with pretty things makes the space look warmer and friendlier. Definitely, way more attractive too. So, start hanging framed photos of your baby and the family, cute artworks, and anything baby-related. It doesn’t really matter if it’s just a cut-out from a magazine or a hand me down. As long as it’s tasteful, it will add beauty to the room. Actually, even if it’s queer but has a sentimental value or say, a quirky appeal, feel free to hang it as well. Decorating is a personal expression after all.
To put all the decorations together, use an area rug that complements the design or color of the room. This doesn’t take much effort nor require a big sum to put together. A rug that goes well with the room’s color, one with an interesting and size-complementing shape or a rug that has an attractive design made for kids can really boost the nursery’s appeal factor. Furthermore, the comfort level is enhanced too, especially come your baby’s crawling stages. An area rug prevents bad falls, bruises and scratches, especially if the floor is not too gentle on the skin. An area rug also does your floor some good by protecting it from stains and dirt, an all too common sight when children are around. Shag rug or pile rug is a top choice for children’s rooms because of its easy to wash quality. A rug made of rich wool is also preferred for their soft and lush qualities.
Baby Nursery Room Decorating has never been so easy with these nursery room area rugs.
